About Sandra’s Woollen Art

Photo Sandra-O-Connor-Feltwork-Woollen-Art-roSandra’s woollen art is inspired by the endless variations of colour seen in Connnemara, with every single piece an insight into the changing hues of the landscape.  Using wet and needle felting and mixed media methods she weaves unique and memorable impressions of her environment into her work and likes to think that a little piece of Connemara is wrapped up in each one.  Her art has received several awards, lives in homes around the world, has been commissioned for state an private collections and was highlighted in the American author Katy McDermott’s book ‘Meeting Mayhem’.  Her latest commission is The Kylemore Collection, representing the Connemara landscape surrounding this enchanting Abbey just beyond Letterfrack.

“When you get home and you glance at your own piece of Connemara, enjoy the sweet memory of the time you spent with us, make sure you come back soon for a visit – WE won’t be going anywhere”
